We’re calling on you to join us in a quest that’s bound to ruffle some feathers!
Gotta say, it’s been SO exciting listening to your ideas and feedback on our alpha! One of the main points of excitement was about our NPC Elmer. Who knew that you all would break him in the first 15 minutes! Well, we’ve been hard at work making sure that he stays inside of his storyline.
Because Elmer’s responses are tailored to your questions, every outcome is unique. This alone makes training the NPCs so much more difficult! We’re happy to report that Elmer should work better now. To add to his updates, Elmer will now have the ability to follow you into battle and help you through quests!
Speaking of battles, have you encountered Fluffy? Fluffy is our first Large boss test. When you warp into the battle zone, you’re sure to meet him. He’s a formidable enemy, and quick to mock our brave dragons.
“What’s in it for Elmer?”
Giving Elmer the ability to go into battle with you, or help you out with a battle raised the question. Turns out that this leads us straight into our next update, Quests. In order for our NPCs to help you, you will need to help them too! They will in turn, either offer their assistance, or give you valuable items that will be needed to go further into the game storyline.
So what about the chickens? Well, that is going to be our first quest!
As you’ll soon find, there are chickens on Elmer’s island, and he will need your help gathering them up! Elmer will forever be thankful.
Have you noticed some of the aesthetic changes? While the polish is not even close to 100% of the way there, the game style is slowly starting to show it’s true colors. The more the game grows, the more you will get to see the style come to its own in a very organic way.
